How We Met

I was never a believer of the saying “you’ll know it’s true love when you find it” until I met Price. We met at work. It was Price’s first week on the job and he asked me to go to lunch with him on that Friday. When the day came that we were to go to lunch together, I was SO nervous; but Price made everything seem like we had known each other for years!

The conversation was nonstop. We talked about our families, our college experiences, the year he spent in Korea, and all of the things we had in common. I called my mom on the way back from our lunch and told her that he was the one and I would never date anyone ever again. We ended up going out that Saturday and Sunday on dates and we have been together ever since. Our parents have said it was like we were made for each other, and I could not agree more.

He and I are basically each other. The years he and I have spent together are the best years of my life. He makes me happy and pushes me to be the best I can be. His encouragement gives me the feeling like I can take on the world. We’ve been through everything together and I know we will be able to conquer anything that life throws our way. There is no one else I’d rather be with than with Price. I’m so happy he chose me as his forever.

how they asked

Price and I love Charleston, SC. We both grew up vacationing there. It holds so many memories for us and our families. We had been talking about wanting to do a trip, just the two of us. So, one random day Price suggested for us to go to Charleston to celebrate my 25th birthday. He said he would take care of picking out and planning my birthday dinner. Time comes for us to go to Charleston and all I know is that I am suppose to dress up for dinner.

We were a little early arriving into the city for our dinner reservation so Price suggested for us to walk down to the pier and walk around Waterfront Park. Waterfront Park is one of my favorite spots in Charleston because of the Pineapple Fountain. This fountain held so many memories for Price and I both since we grew up playing in the fountain as kids. We finally make our way to the fountain and Price knew I had to have our picture taken at the fountain (I had been saying this since we first planned our trip). Price took me in and started talking to me, saying how thankful he was that I had been born and that he believed God and made me for him.

He then said “we both have memories with our families here, now lets make a memory here together!”. It was at that point that I realized what was about to happen. He dropped to one knee, pulled out the ring that I had been wanting since we started talking about marriage, and asked me to be his wife!

During all of this, Price had one of his friends hiding out taking pictures of this moment so we can cherish it forever! He planned the perfect proposal and listened to every detail of what I had mentioned I wanted in an engagement. This is the beginning of our forever!
