How We Met
Logan and I met on January 14th, 2015. We started out just being friends and getting to know one another. The day we started dating was my sorority formal, April 18th, 2015. We were at the formal when Logan asked me to be his girlfriend.
how they asked
Well Logan wasn’t all that sneaky, but I was fooled right before it happened. Logan had given me the gift of a trip to New York for Christmas. This wasn’t a clue, because I had been wanting to go to New York for awhile and talked about it nonstop. As we were preparing to leave we went to Costco and Logan kind of threw me a hint without really knowing. He asked if I wanted to get some champagne to put in our luggage to celebrate with in New York. I was really confused, I didn’t really understand what there was to celebrate, but I got excited for what might be to come. The day of the proposal I was texting my best friend all day debating whether or not it was actually going to happen. I even sent her a picture of my outfit wondering if it could be “the” outfit, mind you it had been carefully chosen. Right before we left our hotel to go to the Empire State Building I just knew it wasn’t going to happen, Logan didn’t have a ring box on him. He didn’t have a jacket on that could hide it, so I basically prepared myself for the worst disappointment. When we got up to the top of the Empire State Building we went outside to take pictures on all sides. After awhile I could no longer feel my face and was begging Logan to let me go inside. He kept saying, “No, I don’t think we can just yet.” I was so frustrated, the final time I asked I got a different response. On the final asking time Logan’s response was, “We can, but I need to ask you a question first.” I would like to say I remember everything that happened next, but it’s all a blur. I remember starting to cry, I was in disbelief. Logan later told me there were about 40 or so people standing around watching. I do remember some people standing behind me when it happened and starting to scream right in my ear. After the initial shock wore off a lady came up to us and asked if we had gotten engaged, I was still in so much shock that I just shook my head. I had no words to give that lady. I don’t think it can get any more magical and exciting than that.
