How We Met
Brandon and I met the summer before our freshman year of high school. We both played for our high school basketball teams and were at a camp our school puts on for the younger kids in the county. We instantly had a friendship. We flirted for a month or two until school started and we stayed friends. We each dated other people all through high school until we both became single our Senior year and began to hang out with our group of friends who luckily forced us to admit to liking each other after 4 years of dodging it. Our first “real” date on March 25th he asked me to be his girlfriend. We ended up going to college together to become RNs and ever since the beginning we have been inseparable.

My friends and I were going out together to celebrate our graduation of our BSN and we all brought our significant others plus one of my best friends since we were 5, Dylan. We went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory and planned to go downtown to take pictures for Christmas. On our way downtown, all of my friends were talking about how their stomach was hurting and in knots (missed clue #1) and all I could tell them was to not get me sick! haha. One of my friends is engaged, and they said they wanted to go first. My friend Dylan brought a camera and said he wanted to get the lighting just right (should’ve been clue #2 right?). Well after they were done, it was our turn for the pictures! 2 or 3 pictures in, my friend Jessica pulled me down the steps to “fix my hair,” and when I turned around, there he was, my best friend, on one knee about to ask me to spend the rest of my life with him. I was so happy that he included two of my best friends and Dylan who is like our brother. I’ll never forget that moment with my future husband and closest friends. It was perfect!
