How We Met
Seve and I have known each other for 5 years. We had American lit together in college. The very first day he walked into class, I was starstruck. He is literally the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. After class, I went back to my apartment and was telling my girls all about him and we were trying to look him up on Facebook. The funny thing is, I had his name wrong. I thought It was John Calhoun. It wasn’t until I saw him out one night that I found out his real name. We immediately hit it off. We had everything in common and I just knew I was going to marry this guy. We started dating and we have been together for the past 4 years. November 2, 2018, was the best day of my life thus far. It was a FAIRYTALE proposal!

It’s been a week, and I just keep thinking how blessed I am to have a man who put so much thought and time into our proposal. My girlfriends were already coming into town for the LSU vs. Alabama game (Roll Tide). They kept telling me they wouldn’t get to Baton Rouge until 9pm. Seve and I were going to meet his cousins downtown to eat dinner before they got here. Once we had parked, he said “Let’s go walk on the levee”. It was so beautiful that time of the day because the sun was starting to set.
I was stopping to take pictures to send to my mom. Once we got to the certain spot, I had my back to him walking. He said “there’s another reason I brought you here tonight”. I didn’t believe him because he had played around proposing before. I kept telling him “your joking, this isn’t real, are you serious” over and over and over again. It wasn’t until he pulled the ring out and got down on one knee that I knew he was being serious.
As soon as I said yes, everyone that was close to us ran out!! I was completely surprised. His whole family, my whole family, our friends, EVERYONE was there. It was so beautiful!! He had talked with everyone and was able to get them all there. None of them live close to us. The closest one is 5hrs away.
He had emailed them the plans for the weekend, including illustrations of where everyone should stand, the pathway that we would be taking, what time we would be arriving. It was so thoughtful and just perfect. That is the only way to describe It, perfect. We are still so excited and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with the man of dreams. I’m so happy to share our love story with all of you❤️
