How We Met
We met on May 31, 2014 at a drift event in Miami,FL. My friend Chrissy dragged me to this event because she had three VIP tickets. At the time I was not at all interested in drifting but she was my friend and needed a wing women. She gave her third ticket to a guy name Jonathan and while we were waiting in line he asked ” are you into cars?” I laughed and said “No!”. We spent the entire day talking and laughing at each others jokes. If felt so natural and fun, I have never experienced this with anyone before. Towards the end of the day I thought for sure he was going to pull me aside and ask me for my number. Well the end came and nothing happened, nothing at all. [If he were here this is the part where he always jumps in and tells you how much he really wanted to ask for my number and he kept beating him self up for not doing so.] I couldn’t stop thinking about him, the way he made me laugh and just being with him. It took me about a week to come up with a clever one liner to say when I messaged him on Facebook (I enjoy rubbing it in his face that I made the first move). Truth is something told me that he was the one and I couldn’t let him go.We had our first date a couple days after that message and have been inseparable ever since. He is my best friend and my soulmate. I can not wait to spend forever with this amazing man!
Same drift event 1 year later (June 6, 2015)
how they asked
In February 2016 Jonathan and I took our first trip aboard to Iceland. We decided to have a road trip around all of Iceland visiting every little town and enjoying every part of the Icelandic culture. I am a bit of a control freak when it comes to trips so I made sure to have the perfect ” error proof ” itinerary for this trip. Most things went as planned but towards the end the very unpredictable weather of Iceland was not on our side and we got stuck in a mountain in east Iceland for a day. Frightened that this will not only ruin our trip but potentially forbid us from completing it in time we decided to just take the risk and hope for the best. We were able to leave east Iceland and make our way to Akureyri, Iceland in one piece. This town was by far our favorite, it was as if we were in a beautiful snow wonderland. Jonathan suggested that we do a tour as soon as we got there, I did not agree because we would not have time and that it would be too expensive. He was not taking no for an answer, he continued to explain how we need to have fun and that this was a once in a life time opportunity. It didn’t take much before I was convinced that we really should enjoy our time there and have fun! One of the things on the tour itinerary was hunting for the northern lights and instead I got an even better surprise! The scenery in Iceland was beyond breathtaking! Therefore we decided to imitate the ” followmeto” position when ever we saw an amazing background. We went around the entire country of Iceland and took several shots of him holding my hand but my absolute favorite would have to be the one taken in Dimmuborgir, Iceland.
Thank you Saga Tours Iceland for capturing this amazing moment and also thank you to everyone else that was with us on this tour it was amazing to have met you all and to have shared this moment with each and everyone of you.
