Lauren and Zack
Zack and I first met during undergrad in the Spring of 2013. I attended Northeastern University and Zack went to Wentworth Institute of Technology down the street. Zack and I had mutual friends so I agreed to meet for a drink one night. I could tell immediately that there was something different about him. We instantly clicked. We talked about hockey, craft beer, and traveling. Six months into our relationship I went on to study abroad across the world– in Gold Coast, Australia. I wasn’t sure that our relationship would survive the test of long distance, but it did. It thrived. Zack always had faith in us and believed in us. He’s always been my rock and incredibly supportive of any work, travel, and life changes I want to pursue. In 2014, we had both graduated from college, moved in together, and then adopted two wonderful rescue animals, a dog and a cat. Zack and I traveled to Mexico, Ireland, Scotland, and decided to go to Copenhagen, Denmark in May 2017. Little did I know this trip would be quite different… and extraordinary. The morning of May 18th, 2017 we took a stroll through the botanical gardens in Copenhagen, up a path, and took a seat on a park bench. The park was quiet and magical early in the morning. As I got up to leave, Zack took my hand, gave me a hug, told me he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, got down on one knee, and the rest is history. It was a truly wonderful, magical, beautiful spot for a proposal for us– private and entrancing. I can’t wait to marry my best friend!
