How We Met
Ryan and I met three years ago. The day after I took my now made of honor out to dinner and proclaimed “I am done dating, I am done looking. I don’t think the perfect guy exists”. The very next day he got hired at the place I was working. He walked in and we connected from the moment we met. Three years later and we’re just as inseparable as we were then.
how they asked
Ryan finally worked up the courage to ask my dad for his blessing on our marriage. He said yes! My dad told him how it had always been my dream to be proposed to in front of Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World in Florida. I knew the proposal was coming soon, so when Ryan joined us for a family trip we had already planned, I got very excited. As our trip began to draw to a close, I had made it up in my mind that this wasn’t when I’d be getting engaged. The second to last day of our trip we finally went to Magic Kingdom. As we entered the park we saw that they were setting up for the parade. Several thousand people sat on the curb of Main Street USA and Ryan admits that he almost chickened out. We walked to the very end of the street to a photographer so that we could get a picture in front of the castle. The photographer snapped one and stopped, Ryan asked for more and I got confused, since he hates pictures! Before I knew it he was down on one knee asking me to be his wife! I could barely speak, all I could do was nod and smile. I was ecstatic! The entire crowd of people cheered for us and we were thankful that we got to experience our engagement in front of a few thousand of our closest friends.
