How We Met
When I first met Kyle, we didn’t like each other at all. Because we have so many mutual friends, we ended up spending a lot of time around one another (must to our dismay). Eventually, dislike turned to like and he asked me out on a first date. The date did not go well at all, but at that point we liked each other so much that it didn’t matter. Now, two and a half years later, we’re getting married!

The day of, Kyle commissioned into the United States Navy in a ceremony that both of our families were able to attend. To celebrate this huge moment in his life, we all went to dinner afterwards (his mother had reserved a private room at a restaurant down town). As the night wore on and guests slowly left, the people present whittled down to just family. After opening his graduation and commissioning gifts, he asked for everyone to stay seated as he had one more present to open. He turned to my family and said, “She is the most supportive, outgoing, and amazing person I have ever met. She makes me better in everything that I do, and I never want to spend a moment without her.” From under his cover, he pulled out a small red box and got down on one knee. He said, “Sarah Elizabeth Nohmer, will you marry me?”. I said “Yes…. Are you serious?” With a smile, he said VERY. In front of both our families, I said yes!
