How We Met

Kyle and I were set up on a blind date except I was the only one that did not know it was a blind date. He paid for my meal and asked me out 6 times before I said yes. The rest is history!

how they asked

I was stopping by a friends after work one Friday afternoon. Kyle asked to please call when I was on the way home because he was going to start dinner. After leaving, I called and let him know that I would be home in 20 minutes. I got home and there was a trail camera attached to a stool in our kitchen. I asked what was going on, he told me that the camera was not working and they were testing it out before returning. I really didn’t think anything of it. He had made my favorite dinner and I thought that was a nice surprise. We sat down for dinner talking about how each others day was. Finally, we finished and he asked if i had gotten a card for the wedding we were attending the next day. I said that I had gave her everything at the bridal shower. He said that we had to bring something and said he picked up a generic wedding card. I pulled it out of the envelope and it said “To my best friend, love, and soulmate”. I open the card and inside it says ” I cant wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Are you ready for the question???” I read the card for 30 seconds trying not to cry and I turn around and Kyle was on one knee proposing. What makes this special is Kyle captured the moment he proposed on the trail camera because he knew I wanted a photo of the proposal. If you’re wondering why he proposed using a card. It’s because they are my favorite gift; they are so personal and it includes all the personal stuff that doesn’t get said everyday.
