How We Met
15 months ago, I walked into a German bar to meet this guy I matched with on Bumble. Although I felt an instant attraction to him via our frequent texting leading up to the date, I had no anticipation that I would be going to meet my future husband. We ended up talking for four hours that night, and by the second beer he leaned in for the first kiss across the bar stool. I left that night feeling something different, that I had never felt before. You could say it was the closest thing to love at first sight. I haven’t looked back since that first night. We have traveled, made countless memories, fallen deeper in love and have built a strong foundation in our relationship as best friends.
How They Asked
For Christmas, my parents gifted us a weekend stay at this really romantic cabin in Central Oregon. I had been looking forward to this trip for months, as I thought it would be a time to relax and explore more of the place we both love. Little did I know that when I opened the door to our cabin, I would be walking into a room decorated especially for me and to my best friend and soulmate asking me to spend forever with him.
