How We Met
As a commercial print model, castings are pretty normal for me, so when I was asked to audition for a music video I didn’t think anything of it. I submitted my video and got the call a few weeks later that I had booked the job. The whole country singer thing didn’t impress me much and I didn’t really know his songs, so when I flew into Nashville from Dallas I was in business mode. Little did I know, that I was about to fall in love with Chase.
He stood there on the bus while I was getting hair and make up done telling a story and capturing everyone’s interest. He was charming, well spoken, compassionate and I knew I was in trouble seeing how handsome he was standing there in that James Bond inspired white suit. A kiss was written in the script and the rest was history.
how they asked
He planned a date night downtown with a specific request for me to wear black. He made dinner reservations at the Thompson hotel where he asked me a year ago to be his girlfriend during the CMA awards. After dinner, he wanted to take me downtown for a drink to continue date night. He requested an uber which “coincidently” was his friend who sometimes actually drives for uber so I didn’t think anything of it. Chase asked the driver to stop at the bridge where we had our first kiss in the music video exactly a year ago. He’s a romantic guy so I didn’t think anything of it. Once the car stopped in the middle of the road, he took my hand and led me to the front of the car as we stood for a kiss under the umbrella while the driver snapped our photo. Before I knew it, he was telling me how much he loved me and got down on one knee to ask if I would spend the rest of my life with him. As I said yes with the happiest tears in my eyes, the photographer and videographer came out from hiding and continued snapping our photo to catch the complete bliss of the moment to be featured by people magazine the next day.
