How We Met
The first time that I met Matthew was a year after after college. Coincidentally, we both went to Florida State University and grew up in the same hometown. I took a few work positions after college to see what field was the right fit for me. One day, I walked into a marketing position and introduced myself to this tall, bright-eyes, handsome gentleman. I shook his hand and found out that he would be training me for the next upcoming months. After a few years, I left the company and the marketing position but we began chatting again, and boy did we fall in love. He was charming, funny, kind and cute from the very beginning and now he’s my fiance.
how they asked
After surprising me with a trip to New York for my birthday, we landed in the city, dropped our bags at the stunning Plaza Hotel. Fresh baked goods and tea filled the crisp air as we walked through the lobby. Before we left, we made sure to pack the right clothes to walk around in New York’s beautiful early March weather. On our way to Central Park that evening, we stopped at one of Central Park’s many landmarks, Bow Bridge. He wanted to take a selfie. Naturally, he was too tall to get us both in the photo. He asked a young woman that was taking photos next to us if she wouldn’t mind snapping a photo. She suggested that we get the bridge in the background. We posed, and as I grabbed his hand to walk back to the sidewalk, he got down on one knee and proposed.
