How We Met
Jonathan and I met at our old job 3 and a half years ago. I thought he was the most stuck up person ever when I first saw him, maybe that’s because he was a lead and I was just an employee. Somehow, I kept finding myself around him at work and then we just clicked. He asked me out and the rest was history.
How They Asked
I’ve always wanted to go to New York City during Christmas time. So, Jonathan’s sisters and I had a trip planned to New York on December 20th, just a girls trip! While I was in New York, he was supposed to be going to work. His sisters and I spent the day walking around, shopping, and looking at the window displays. In the late afternoon, his older sister mentioned that we were going to meet up with her friend that lived in the city, which I had already been told about. So we start making our way to meet her, and his sisters go “ She’s is up this way” so we go and I’m looking for a girl. My head is down because it’s starting to get really cold, I look up for a quick second and I think I see Jonathan!? I look back down because it couldn’t be him, and look back up and he’s there, standing in Madison square garden in front of the Christmas tree!
He then pulls me in front of the tree and starts telling me how much he is in love with me and why he wants to spend his life with me, and gets on one knee! I was in total shock! He even had my uncle, who is the owner of The Ruby Company drive 3.5 hours to capture the whole thing! It was PERFECT!! Most Christmas trees in NYC are filled with tourists, and this one was not and everything was just right! I love him, and can not wait to marry this man!
