How We Met
Charlie and I met in August of 2016. Charlie’s cousin Gillian and I went to high school together and always remained best friends. Gillian and I went to Charlie’s apartment one night and it was instant chemistry. He asked me on a date a month later and we instantly fell in love. After 3 years of dating, he asked me to marry him!
How They Asked
I just finished my last semester of completing my California Teaching Credential, and Charlie wanted to do a fun weekend trip. We decided to go to Austin, Texas. On Saturday, December 14th we went to Lady Bird Lake to watch the sunset. As we were walking down the path there were red roses and a beautiful Christmas wreath placed perfectly on a dock.
I instantly knew and started to cry. Charlie said the sweetest speech and asked me to marry him. I was in shock! I looked up and saw our friend Alan taking photos(Charlie flew him out). We all cried. It was the best day of my life!
