How We Met
Roger and I met six years ago in my hometown and became pretty close right away. He was my best friend and we did everything together. We started dating a year later and have always talked about spending our lives together. Till this day we swear it was love at first sight.
How They Asked
We spent the week in his hometown and he showed me around all his favorite spots that he’d never taken me to. Each place we went, we set my phone up to take a selfie video since there wasn’t anyone there to take our picture. On our last day in Chicago, we went to a park full of colorful fall trees near Lake Michigan. I had never seen fall before, growing up in Miami, so it was a huge dream of mine! We set up the phone to take our usual selfie by the water and he got down on one knee and popped the question. I still can’t believe it!
