How We Met
The first night I met Matt a mutual friend told me she was on her way to pick me up and take me out with her to cheer me up. Little did I know at that time that I would meet the man of my dreams. We instantly clicked when we both asked each other what we did for a living. I answered that I worked for my dad who owns a general contracting business in Ventura when asking what he did he responded with “I work for my dad who owns a framing company in Agoura Hills”.
From that night on we had an instant connection that tied us even closer together. After getting together so our dogs could have “play dates” we finally started to date and we haven’t turned back since.
how they asked
Little did I know that March 3rd would hold such a meaning to me. Matt came home from work and suggested we take the dog to the beach, I was currently waiting for someone to come pick up a dresser I was trying to sell so I said we had to wait. The minutes ticked on and Matt began to ask over and over again if we could take the dog out. After being a little annoyed with the persistence (which I now feel terrible about) I gave in and we headed over to the beach in front of our house.
I am a major sea glass snob, so when Matt told me he found one I headed towards him to see what he had found so that I could have it. With his back turned to me and crouched near the sand I asked again to see what he had found, wondering to myself why it was taking so long for him to show me what he had just picked up. He finally turned around and got on one knee to show me the most amazingly beautiful piece of “sea glass” that I had seen. We will have been together for four years and couldn’t be happier to tie the knot in July!
