How We Met
Jordan and I met near the end of high school at a volunteering group. We were friends for a while and became official on February 25, 2012, at the same location that he proposed.

Jordan had told me that he made nice dinner plans for our 6 year anniversary. It was his busy season in work, so never in a million years would I have thought he would have the time to buy a ring and plan an extravagant proposal. We had talked about marriage in the past, but I definitely did not think we would be engaged until the summer time. As we were driving to the secret dinner location, I could tell we were heading toward some of my favorite beach towns. We approached the Ritz-Carlton hotel, and I was impressed by this location choice. However, he parked in the public parking area…and I was a little disappointed we weren’t pulling up at the Ritz. We began walking down the long hill and I realized that we were heading toward the sand.
There was a small surf competition that was super distracting so I was looking there, and then noticed the side of a sand castle that photographers were taking pictures of. We rounded a corner and got closer to the sand castle. Jordan got down on one knee, and I was able to see exactly what the sand castle said. It felt like a dream, and I have never had a better surprise in my life. Jordan chose to ask me at the beach, at the same spot he had asked me to be his girlfriend 6 years ago. :) We ended the night at the Montage where he made dinner reservations. We took prom pictures at this hotel in Laguna Beach many years ago. So it felt like the perfect place to soak up the first few moments of engagement.
