How We Met
We first met through mutual friends at our school, The University of Illinois, biggest party of the year, Unofficial St.Patrick’s Day. We were best friends for about a year, and then fell in love with each other! It has been history ever since that big party in March of 2013!

I was on spring break visiting my aunt who lives on Miami Beach, FL with my then boyfriend, my parents and my sister. I was told that we were going to dinner to celebrate my mom’s 50th birthday. While we were walking on the beach holding hands, we passed a big storage box. Behind the storage box was a heart in the sand with rose petals and pictures of us throughout our two year relationship. My jaw dropped after I saw the creation in the sand. I was in absolute shock! He brought me towards the middle of the heart and asked me to be his wife!
To my surprise, his parents popped out of the bushes afterward! They had flown down from Chicago to set everything up on the beach, record the encounter, and take many pictures.
After the proposal, both of our families ended up going to a very elegant dinner and his parent’s had a decorated hotel room for us to celebrate with champagne, cake, and presents! It was the biggest, absolute best and most perfect surprise of my entire life!
