How We Met
Andy and I met when we were working as Bar and Function staff at Oatlands Golf Club. We became the best of friends and both enjoyed working with each other so much. I remember looking at the roster and trying to change my shifts around so we could work together. Our relationship was built on the foundation of a friendship that has gotten us through life’s highs and lows over the past 4 years.
How They Asked
A month or so before our engagement, I was invited to and Andrew’s and my friend’s 30th which was being celebrated at a bar in Darling Harbour. On the Wednesday before our engagement we were invited to come to a hotel for pre drinks before the party. I kept telling Andy that I was not sure if I could get out of work on time to get to the hotel however I would make it to the drinks at the bar later in the night. Andrew then had to organise with my work friend to get me out of work early and convince me to leave to get to my engagement on time. When we got to the Pier One Sydney Harbour hotel I was in shock. He had pulled off one of the best surprises I have had in my life.
