How We Met
Devin and I have known each other since my senior year of high school. He started messaging me on Facebook after mutual friends told us we should start talking. One thing led to another and he ended up taking me on our first date to Taco Bell, then we walked downtown to the beach where we started getting to know each other more.
After about 2 weeks we made it official January 29th, 2012. This was super exciting for me as a senior because I was finally able to go to prom with my boyfriend! Now we have been together for 6 years!!

On Thursday, August 30th, Devin brought me into the kitchen and surprised me with a checklist and tickets to Los Angeles for Labor Day weekend! I was completely floored! I didn’t know anything and all I was told to do was pack whatever was on the checklist! Once we got to LA, Devin shocked me with another surprise, that we were going to Disneyland!!! We’re from Orlando and have been to Disney World a million times, but it has always been a dream of mine to go to Disneyland in California!! So, of course, I couldn’t sleep the first night at the hotel, knowing we were going to Disneyland the next day!
We got to Disneyland bright and 30 minutes early! We waited at the entrance anxiously and Devin said: “we should go to the castle and take a picture right away before the line gets too long.” I thought that was a great idea! So we go to the castle and start taking classic “Disney castle couple pictures.” After the last picture, the photographer said “alright guys, you’re all set” but then Devin said, “can we just take one more?” And right there, he got down on one knee and said “Kaitlyn Bess Graff, will you marry me?” I screamed and cried “YES!” and the rest of the day we celebrated with amazing pictures at Disneyland!!
