Cameron & Katy met while working to help end hunger in their community at the SF-Marin Food Bank. After 9 months of making excuses to talk to eachother, Cameron asked Katy out. Two years later, in preparation for a trip to Chicago, Cameron purchased the ring while planning to propose in the windy city. A problem with the ring, followed by Katy’s busy work schedule, and Mother Nature breaking Northern California of our drought meant delays for the impending proposal. Christmas morning while en route from Katy’s parents to Cameron’s family Cameron decided to take the back roads through Marin County. A quick stop for coffee, and the Cameron suggested taking their time and going for a walk around the pond at the Marin French Cheese Company where they often picnic. In the late morning quiet, their only company the ducks on the pond, Cameron got down on one knee, and asked Katy to marry him.
