How We Met
Tim and I met on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel. He had just moved to Las Vegas and I had definitely been striking out on the dating front. After chatting for a few days, Tim asked me to meet at a place called Crush: Eat, Drink, Love- and that’s exactly what we did! It was history from there and we didn’t spend many days without each other.
how they asked
Tim and I were planning a trip to wine country- one of our favorite getaways! He had told me about all of our plans and even had his assistant make me a fake itinerary! We flew into San Francisco on Thursday night, stayed in the city and were going to drive up to Sonoma on Friday morning. When we were getting ready that morning, looking back, he definitely seemed more interested than he usually is in what I was going to be wearing that day. After we drove up, we went to a wine tasting and grabbed some oysters and a drink at a local bar. Next up on the schedule- a picnic at Alexander Mountain Estates- home of Stonestreet Wines.
This is a very special place owned by Jackson Family Wines and is not open to the public. Because of Tim’s career in the wine business, the winemaker of Stonestreet was able to drive us up to the top of the mountain, where some of the vineyards are and an amazing lookout. We got out of the car and Tim walked me down to the lookout. All of a sudden, I hear “Surprise!!”. My entire family and Tim’s family were all up there. I was shocked. Tim got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. After that, Tim, myself, and both of our families had a picnic on top of the mountain with good food and great wine! It was magical.
