How we met: All through college I worked as a golf shop merchandiser at Linville Ridge Country Club in Linville, NC. Every summer Rob would come to visit and play golf with his dad. We chatted a few times over the years and Rob finally asked me out. I said yes!
how they asked: Rob planned the whole thing! (Still in awe!) Plus, he got both of your families involved -one of the musts on the list!
We drove up to Linville Gorge, NC after work on Friday, September 19. He had his older sister Beth hiding in the bushes to capture the whole event. Once he popped the question (Yes, of course!!!), we enjoyed the moment before deciding what to do next.
We drove to my parents house to tell them first and as we walked in Rob said, “I have one more surprise!” We walked into the room with my entire family, Rob’s mom, his twin sister, and the amazing photographer, Beth were all there to celebrate. (Cue the water works) After lots of happy tears, hugs, and champagne toasts we enjoyed the moment as a family before telling everyone else a few hours later.
