How We Met
We met at a bar, Tin Roof, in Delray Beach, Florida. I truly didn’t want to go through with our date as I was tired of meeting guys and never feeling that spark or desire to go on a second date. About an hour before the date I met up with a good friend to tell her my plans of canceling, and that was when she told me I HAD to go on this last, final date and if it wasn’t meant to be I would take a break from the dating game. After meeting John, we’ve truly been inseparable ever since. He’s my best friend and the love of my life. I didn’t think there was someone out there that was perfectly crafted to be my better half. I’ve loved all of our adventures the past two years and cannot wait to take on this next chapter with the guy I didn’t even want to go on a first date with! So happy I did.
How They Asked
We decided to go on a last-minute vacation to the Florida Keys. We woke up early Saturday, October 10th, and started the day with a sunrise breakfast. Ironically we watched a wedding take place as we sat to see the sunrise. We then spent the majority of the day exploring the keys, kayaking, and just spending time together. As the day turned to evening, we got ready to grab dinner at the Islamorada Fish Company.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we ironically witnessed ANOTHER wedding taking place during that exact time! We took some photos with the amazing sunset and sat down to eat our dinner. After finishing up, we went to take photos down by the dock, and John sneakily set up his camera to record the proposal. I was in disbelief and couldn’t believe what was going on. Truly the BEST night of our lives thus far!
