How We Met
We knew each other from high school. Years later, the school counselor at the high school where I teach mentioned that her husband had taken a class with someone I knew. I reached out to say hi with no other motives in mind. I didn’t know that for a few years his friends had told him to ask me on a date!
How They Asked
We live in what was once my grandmother’s house. I love this home, but Jason had to figure out a way to get me out of the house during the pandemic. I left to babysit my niece and nephew, and my father, brother-in-law, and Jason got to work stringing up lights and setting up luminaries all around our backyard. The diamond in the ring was from my grandfather’s Freemason ring. As of all of the family ties weren’t sentimental enough, to top it all off, he managed to get me in a dress from my favorite Project Runway designer, made me a PowerPoint with a cameo from a favorite Letterkenny actor, and invited our closest family and friends for a surprise engagement party (small and socially distant of course)!
