How We Met
My best friend in high school invited me to a concert last minute because another girl couldn’t go. My now fiancé, who is her childhood friend, ended up driving us all to the concert. We clicked instantly and have been dating ever since the sophomore year of high school. Years later, we found a photo of us sitting together as kids at a mutual friends’ birthday party. Fate is a crazy and wonderful thing.
How They Asked
We were taking a trip to Japan and Hawaii to celebrate my fiancé’s graduation from college, our 5 year anniversary, and my 21st birthday. He told me he wanted to do a sunrise hike up to Diamond Head but of course, I overslept. We ended up going later that day. Once we got to the top, we noticed the most beautiful and unobstructed view from a helicopter landing pad. We jumped over a “do not cross” gate to get to it and take photos. That is where my fiancé made me the happiest girl in the world and I got my diamond – on Diamond Head!
