How We Met
We met on Tinder!
How They Asked
John booked a nice room with a balcony overlooking the Seaport District of Boston at the Boston Harbor Hotel, across the street from our third date. He took me to dinner at a steakhouse for our 2nd anniversary, the day before our actual anniversary because he knew I liked the date better (07/12 is nicer looking than 07/13!) and because it was the weekend. After dinner, I joked that I was shocked he didn’t propose.
When we got back to the hotel, I went to the bathroom to take out my contacts. When I went back outside, there were rose petals and tea lights on the balcony. I walked up to John and he talked about how much he loved me and how much I meant to him. He got down on one knee, opened the ring box (upside-down!), showed me my great grandmother’s ring, and asked me to marry him. Of course, I squealed and said yes! It was incredibly beautiful, intimate, and meaningful. We couldn’t have been happier.
