How We Met
I was complaining to one of my best friends about online dating. Apparently, a few nights later we both shared pictures of the BBQ pulled pork we made for dinner, and that was the final push she needed to decide to introduce us!
Since I was visiting her in a couple of weeks (I lived in Chicago at the time and she was in Sarasota Florida) she texted him and asked him to come to visit while I was in town. Little did she know he was already going to be in Sarasota that weekend to visit his grandma! He changed his flight to come in a day early so we could meet, and we immediately hit it off!

How They Asked
Ryan told me we were going to a photo depot to take pictures for my coaching business. He even hired a professional photographer! I was a little suspicious until he told me that it was “too bad he hadn’t planned a proposal for that day! It would have been perfect because we’re both dressed up!”
We took some photos and got some really good headshots for me, but then we upstairs to the area reserved for professionals. Ryan had run out to the car “to get money for the photographer” and came back with the most beautiful bouquet I’ve ever seen!! He took my hand, walked me around the corner and there was a marquee sign that read “marry me.” He was shaking so hard as he pulled out the letter he had written me and started to read it. I was crying so hard! He told me how thankful he was for the BBQ that brought us together, and how much he loves our life together. Then he pulled out a ring box. The box had a light attached and the diamond shined SO bright!! Of course, I said yes and not only did we have photos of the moment it happened, but we also got some posed photos after!
Then we headed to the brewery next door where he had all my best friends waiting to celebrate with me! It was the most magical day!
