how we met
We met in English class in high school. Our sense of humor brought us together and helped us establish a great friendship. We stayed best friends for a couple of years until we started dating our second year of college together.
how they asked
I had teased Ryan that he would never be able to surprise me with a proposal because I am the planner in the relationship. He had asked if I wanted to go snowshoeing earlier in the week and then didn’t bring it up again so I nudged him and he casually said oh yeah, let’s do that this weekend. We had a great breakfast at Ruth’s diner then headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon for our hike. We trekked up to Guardsman’s Pass overlook and he got down on one knee once we had the mountain to ourselves. I was shocked! He totally surprised me.
