How We Met

Michael and I met in high school and we’re friends for a couple years before we started dating so we’ve known each other through the young and awkward stage. I’ve always thought Michael was hilarious and he’s always been such a gentleman. About the time we started dating, we were both single and I kinda started crushin on him. Conveniently enough, our junior year we were on homecoming court together and I texted him saying, “I think I like you” (I know, what was I thinking?) BUT the rest is history! The next year we won prom king and queen together, then came college; we did the whole “5-year long distance relationship thing,” and now we’re finally back in the same town, ENGAGED, and we couldn’t be happier!

Michael is everything I’ve ever wanted in a future husband. We’ve dreamed of our wedding day forever and now it’s coming true!

how they asked

From prom king and queen to future man and wife!

After 7 years, my precious man finally popped the question and it literally could not have been anymore perfect. He totally surpassed all my engagement fantasies.

So! Long story short: We had a family campfire planned at “moon rocks” that night (a special place on his family farm) so I was expecting some wieners and s’mores and instead came home with the perfect “rock!”

As we drove up, he looked at me and said “are you ready?” at about the exact time I noticed the scene set up in front of us. I immediately started crying tears of joy..we parked, he got me out of the car, scooped me up in his arms and walked me over to the beautiful arch he set up. He got down on one knee, told me some sweet, sappy things, we cried (mainly me), hugged, kissed, switched over my purity ring and he put the most gorgeous ring on my left finger.

We are so overjoyed and cannot wait to start planning our wedding!

Can’t forget to mention Michael had my best friends and sister involved too! They came all the way from Colorado, Tennessee and Arkansas. I about died. Gah! I’m one lucky girl!
