My best friends & Avery somehow planned for me to think I was heading to Kutztown to celebrate my best friends’ birthdays, but in addition, planned the most special and sentimental proposal. Although it is Thanksgiving break, Avery contacted KU Alumni Relations and asked them to open up Lytle Hall & the exact classroom we met in, where we learned linguistics together and awkwardly graded each other’s quizzes in 2015. He also grew his hair out to the way it was when we met and wore the same flannel as when I first saw him! Both our families and all our friends then met for lunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Kutztown. Most special day ever. First time ever in my life being in complete shock.
