How We Met
Austin and I met my junior year and his senior year of high school. One night, we were both at Steak and Shake with friends. I saw a really cute guy who kept smiling and looking at me. We kept exchanging glances all night. Finally, as he and his friends were leaving, he wrote his number down on a dollar bill and told me to, “Go buy a cookie.” Obviously, I texted him the minute he left and it was the best decision I ever made. I didn’t believe in love at the time. I mean what high school kid does? I didn’t think I would ever settle down because I couldn’t seem to find the right person. So, when Austin walked into my life I knew right away he was the one. I’ve never loved anyone more than I’ve loved him. I’m so incredibly thankful for us being in the same place at the same time that night.
How They Asked
December 25th was hands down the best day of my life. My high school sweetheart and boyfriend of 5 years asked me to marry him in France at Epcot. My parents and siblings were even there to celebrate with us. We went to take a picture in front of the fountain in Epcot and he told me to set my purse down. As I was setting it down, out of the corner of my eye, I saw him start to reach into his pocket. My heart was racing and I thought, “Oh my goodness. This is it!.” I turned around all the way and there he was, the love of my life, asking me to marry him, as he choked back his tears. I was so flabbergasted I kept backing away! Of course, I said yes and he replaced my promise-ring I had on my finger with my new engagement ring. It was honestly the most romantic and amazing day ever. I cannot wait to marry my best friend October 4, 2019!!
