how we met
We were introduced by Kassia’s sister, who was living in Boston at the time. Her sister had met Scott, who is originally from New Hampshire, through a mutual friend. Kassia went to visit her sister for a couple of weeks, and her sister set them up on a blind date, knowing they would be a perfect match!
how they asked
Since we picked out the ring together, Kassia knew the proposal was going to happen in the near future, but had no idea what Scott was planning. Scott envisioned a winter wonderland proposal during the famous Christmas light display at Longwood Gardens. However, the weather didn’t cooperate, and there was NO SNOW the entire winter – Just lots of rain! Plan B was to propose that summer during a fountain show at Longwood, and he consulted photographer Ben Deibert for his expertise in helping to coordinate the proposal. Kassia and Scott both had the day off of work, and headed to Longwood late that morning, hoping to avoid the typical crowds. We strolled through the nearly-empty gardens, enjoying the nice weather. As we walked across a bridge in the middle of the fountain garden, Scott got down on one knee and asked The Question! As surprised as Kassia was about the proposal, she was even more surprised when Ben walked up, camera in hand, after stealthily capturing the proposal! We are so thankful to have these amazing photos of such a special moment in our lives.
