How we met: 7 1/2 years ago Jordan and I met on the bus rides to technical school from our high school. It was senior skip day and there were only a handful of people on the bus, we had never really talked before but knew each other from mutual friends. So that day we sat across from each other on the bus and talked the whole ride back, when we were finally pulling into the school parking lot he asked me if I wanted to leave with him and hang out with our mutual friends. I, of course, jumped on the opportunity to leave school early and we hopped in his red F-150 to our friends house! We spent the entire day together (and our friends) going out to lunch, taking a walk around a local playground where he held my hand for the first time, and later he kissed me for the first time!! We started dating immediately and were inseparable that entire summer. Unfortunately, the timing wasn’t right for us and we ended up breaking up a few months later. Then April of 2014, both of us recently single again after long term relationships, I got a friend request from Jordan on Facebook. After immediately accepting it, I sent him a message asking if it was intention or on accident because his previous girlfriend did not allow us to keep in contact and I was unaware he was single. Of course he told me it was intentional and asked me to hang out later that day, we spent the rest of the afternoon together and we seemed to pick up right where we left off. He finally asked me to be his girlfriend on June 5, 2014.
how they asked: 7 1/2 years ago when Jordan & I dated the first time, we randomly drove out to Sylvan Beach one night and ended up going for a moonlit walk along the beach. One of the bars close by was playing “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton, Jordan stopped me right there on the beach and asked me to dance with him. So we danced under the moon as he told me how much he loved me and it was the most romantic moment of my life. Until December 14, 2014. We went out to breakfast, not unusual for a Sunday morning as we both had the day off from work. After, he suggested that we go for a drive like we used to when we were teenagers. So we were driving and he’d stop to look at random things, such as a large outdoor equipment store, and he’d get back in the truck and we’d keep driving. We found ourself at Sylvan Beach so we drove around the town and ended up back at the beach (which the sand was of course frozen over, its December in central New York!) but the sidewalk by the water was cleared so he suggested we go for a walk. So we got out of the truck and started walking, I was freezing with the wind off the water but it was still a nice day for a walk. Suddenly he grabbed my cell phone out of my pocket saying he heard a text message. Next thing I know “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton is playing and he’s asking me to dance with him, right there on the sidewalk like we did 7 1/2 years ago. We danced to the entire song and at the end he told me how much he loves me. Then he pulled something out of his pocket, got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!!
