how we met
We both went to the same middle school and knew each other but weren’t close. In high school we became friends and then started dating in 10th grade. We have been together ever since.
how they asked
He had the ring and was planning the proposal for a year. He proposed while scuba diving in Key Largo. I had no idea because our trips kept getting delayed due to one reason or another. He decided to go for what I thought was a spontaneous dive but really he was fed up with delaying the proposal. I almost didn’t go that day! It was really cold and the ocean was extremely choppy. Once we were wrapping up at second dive site, he pulled out a banner that said “Will you marry me?” and pulled out the ring.
