How We Met: Mark and I met in high school, he was my high school sweetheart! We have been together for over ten years now and have been living together for the past six months, we couldn’t be any happier than we are right now.
how they asked: My fiancé set up the proposal after purchasing tickets to a concert we wanted to go to at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH. He contacted one of my favorite music artists who was performing there that night, Canaan Smith, and set it up to propose to me onstage during the concert. I was told we had won meet and greet passes to go backstage, but in reality the tour manager and Canaan Smith himself wanted to meet with us before the proposal, so that they had an idea of what we looked like and who to expect to be coming up onstage. It was planned perfectly, we had some of our family and friends there that night that got to witness it. I was called onstage by Canaan Smith as the audience started cheering my name, where I was proposed to in front of everyone. His exact words were “It’s been an amazing ten years babe, an amazing ten years, but let’s make it a lifetime. Will you marry me babe?” Canaan Smith followed our proposal by performing my favorite song of his, it was a wonderful experience and of course I said YES!!
