How We Met
We met 9 years ago when I was 16 years old and he was 18 years old. In Mornington, Victoria. We spent some time with friends at a beach house overlooking the water, which had this beautiful lookout from across the road, lots of greenery and a spectacular view of the water. At first, it was all mates hanging out over the summer break and after a few weeks we hit it off. I challenged him to a bottle of vodka, clearly, I was coming off second best. I told my best friend, “that’s it, I’ve ruined my chances of ever seeing him again”.
How They Asked
On the 14 March 2020, we decided to celebrate our 9 year anniversary at that exact lookout spot, overlooking the beach. When we got to the clogged point my love asked me to marry him and after lots of giggles, I said yes!!!! It’s something we have talked about and dreamed about for as long as I can remember. But, I can’t believe it is actually real now. My head is still in the clouds. I cannot wait to explore every corner of this earth with you my best friend and now fiancé.
