How We Met
We met a little over 3 years ago volunteering together in our city. He wanted to date me then but it didn’t happen that way. Fast forward, after being in a couple of hard and unhealthy relationships, Noah and I started catching back up in the summer of 2019 and talked every day. He then moved back from Europe where we started dating officially.
How They Asked
having been stuck indoors for nearly three months, we were both dying to get outside and explore! Some friends of ours asked if we would join them on a trip at the end of May, and hoping for the best, we quickly agreed. Little did I know that his planning began that same day. Months later, I found myself hiking through Zion National Park in southern Utah with three of my favorite people.
Taking photos while doing my best to stay hydrated, I struggled my way up the path to the famous Angels Landing lookout point. The beauty of the canyon and sheer rock walls higher than buildings took my attention away from everything else. We began to take pictures near the canyon ledge. We finished and I started to walk back to our friends when he grabbed me by the hand and pulled me close.
He began to tell me things that we’ve been through and what I meant to him. It was as if everything froze because for about 10 minutes there wasn’t a single hiker that came by. He asked me to marry him and I, of course, said yes on top of that rock. The best yes.
