How We Met
Hi! This is Kailey speaking, the BRIDE TO BE! (Excited if you couldn’t tell)
How They Asked
Jacob and I met through some mutual friends at a local brewery in Kernersville, NC. The moment he sat beside me at the picnic table with all of our friends I couldn’t even look him in the eyes I was so nervous! But as soon as we spoke to each other we couldn’t stop! We even ended up going on a date the very next night. Then another one. And so forth! Jacob and I met at a very difficult time in both of our lives. Especially mine. I had given up completely on so many things, especially relationships. I wasn’t even interested in finding someone when I met Jacob but I couldn’t help myself! He was everything I had ever dreamed of. He pulled me right out of my depression and made me whole again. When we met in September it only took him 3 months to pop the question! Our parents had already become best friends so on Christmas Day, both our families spent Christmas together. We both of our families gathered in the living room of my parents’ house. It was wonderful.
Family is so important to me. Right as we were about to play some games, Jacob’s mom gives his nephew a gift to give while she’s telling everyone “I’m sorry! I forgot to give Kailey one more gift!” As his adorable little nephew hands me a box I’m clueless as to what’s about to happen. Even with the 10 phones I have pointed at me recording. I open it, it’s an ornament with me and Jacobs picture on it labeled “Kailey and Jacob Christmas blessings 2018” I showed it off to everyone and my grandpa asks to see it and turn it around, and I freeze… “will you marry me” at this point Jacob is standing in front of my already crying and I LOST IT! Tears of joy were every where! We get married this October and I couldn’t be anymore happy with life. When you know, you know. And it didn’t take long for us to figure out how true this love was!
