How We Met
Back in March 2016 we went out for coffee and ended up sitting there talking for 5 hours. Neither of us was looking for a relationship but every other day of seeing each other lead to every day. After about 4 weeks after we met, we started dating and we didn’t go a day without seeing each other, even if it was for a short while. 4 years later, on my birthday, he asked me to marry him.
How They Asked
Luke is such a thoughtful person. He asked my dad for permission for to me marry me before. We were driving to our favorite train bridge, which is the same bridge he took me the night he asked me to be his girlfriend. He told me he was going to ask me to be his girlfriend there but got too nervous. Anyways, we were looking at a dragonfly on the tracks and throwing pebbles to get it to fly away.
When I turned around to get more, Luke was going down on 1 knee asking me if I wanted my present. I honestly couldn’t believe it. I was so excited I think I said yes immediately before he was done talking. He was tearing up when he told me how much he loved me and asked me to marry him.
I started crying then asked if he was serious as I hugged him. After he put the ring on my finger, we stood there hugging eachother for a while. He chooses the ring himself and picked such a beautiful one. Right after we went to our parents’ houses so share the big news!!
