How We Met
Back in 2011, I applied for a Management Trainee Program. There, I met Jude, a fellow Management Trainee in the Bank of Commerce. We started out as officemates. We were never close. But then he started to pursue me and I had to reject him a couple of times since I didn’t want someone from the same workplace.
The program ran for over a year and we started to get close.
We spent time together. We would always try out the new hole in the wall restaurants in Kapitolyo, Pasig where we both used to work.
In 2013, he asked me to be his girlfriend. <3
How They Asked
I’m a sentimental person so every time we would talk about how he would propose, I always told him that I want it in a special place for us. So when he proposed in Coron, I was totally surprised.
In October of 2018, we went to Coron, Palawan with our friends for vacation. We even climbed Mt. Tapyas that afternoon.
After a tiring hike, we had dinner. After dinner, we went back to our resort in Sophia’s Garden Resort. My friends asked us to just walk from the gate of the resort. One of my favorite songs was playing. I was even singing along to Say you won’t let go by James Arthur on the way to our rooms. Suddenly, I heard familiar voices on the way to the garden. When I turned my head, there was a giant white screen in the garden and there it was — a video of the people that I love telling me reasons to marry Jude.
A pathway of lighted hearts led us to the gazebo filled with lights and pictures of us together. The love of my life proposed under the stars, in a gazebo, while people close to us telling me to SAY YES JANNA, kneeling down and promising to spend the rest of our lives together. <3
