How We Met
Jordan and I first met sometime around sophomore year of high school. When she first met me, she was not a fan! It wasn’t until a few years after high school that we first became friends. Our friendship developed for about a year until I eventually worked up the nerve to ask her out. We’ve now been happily together for just under 3 years.

When I finally decided to propose to Jordan, I knew I had to plan something that involved the outdoors. She had mentioned a few times that she liked the idea of being proposed to on the mountain, but I was nervous that the unpredictable weather would not cooperate. In order to maintain the mountain setting and reduce the chances of being stuck in a snow storm, I opted to do a snowmobile tour and have the mountain in the background.
Unfortunately the precautions I took would all be in vain, it seemed I was destined to propose in a blizzard. Within the first few minutes of arriving for our snow mobile tour, our car got stuck in the in the parking lot, the wind began howling and the snow started dumping. Despite the difficult start, we pressed on and began our tour. After completely submerging both our snow mobiles in waist deep powder and freezing our butts off for an hour, we finally arrived at he perfect location for the big moment. We parked the snow mobiles and made our way over to a snow bank over looking a frozen river. I told her we should should have someone on the tour get a photo of us, little did know that this person was a photographer brought along just for this moment. While she prepared to pose for the photo, I got down on one knee and told her I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her. Luckily for me she said YES and the ring fit!
