Joe and Monica
How We Met
Joe & Monica met through mutual friends in Australia in March 2016.
how they asked
Joe & Monica live in Australia and have been together since March 2016 having met through mutual friends. They had planned a big European tour to include three days in England where mum Claire used to live. Joe wanted it to be the trip of a lifetime and knew he wanted to pop the question during their stay in London. He asked mum to help arrange something special and she found TopSecretAgent – a UK flash mob and marriage proposal planner. It wasn’t long before a plan was hatched to give Monica the surprise of her life and create a memorable proposal they could look back on forever. As planned, Joe brought Monica to Eros in Piccadilly – one of London’s great landmarks.
At exactly 2pm a busking ballerina started dancing and what happened next was amazing. Monica’s reaction when she and Joe were pulled out of the five hundred strong audience was perfect. When Joe dropped to one knee and offered her their gorgeous engagement ring she was completely blown away. What made it even more special was Joe’s sister Lea and his niece Paige also flew over to the UK especially to be part of their engagement.
They even wore two of the t-shirts saying Will You marry Me. Monica couldn’t believe it when she saw them after Joe proposed. As you can imagine – there were tears all round! The proposal was beautiful and they enjoyed another day in the UK before travelling off to Amsterdam for the rest of their European tour. Just 24 hours later and Joe & Monica got to watch their proposal video which was also filmed / edited by TopSecretAgent.
They were gobsmacked to see that included in the video was a personal message from Alex – a member of the American band Mako who’s song they proposed to. TopSecret had arranged this as an extra surprise and this was the icing on the cake for the ultimate surprise trip to London. Thanks to mum, Lea, Paige & TopSecret for making it an unbelievable experience.
