How We Met
The fairy tale of our love started 7 years ago when Austin and I met. He was working as a security guard at the Bistro Pub in Boise, Idaho. This being one of the popular bars in downtown where I would go dance the night away. Every time I came through the doorway, he would ask for my ID. Most of the time, he wouldn’t look at my driver’s license instead he would talk and ask how I been doing. Then after a few time of this, he told me, “while working at this job I have seen thousands of girls come and go, but you are the most beautiful girl to walk through these doors. Could I have your number?” After he worked up the courage, he called me and the next day we had our first date riding bikes on the green belt. As soon as this happened we were inseparable.
how they asked
Fast forward to our 7 year anniversary, he planned a trip to Big Sky, Montana. He knew I loved to hike, so he planned for us to hike Bee Hive basin trail in the northern Rocky Mountain Gallatin Spanish Peaks. We got to the beginning of the trail, Austin looked at me and stated, “This trail is ranked in the top best 10 hikes in the world.
There will be fields of wildflowers, and an alpine lake at the top of it.” I was so excited. Did three hours of hiking, trekking 5 miles, climbed to the highest point where you could look over the whole Big Sky Mountain range, then he asked me to dance.
He set up the GoPro to film us, grabbed my hands, stated, “You are my best friend, I love you with all my heart, I am keeping you forever”. He got down on one knee and asked, “Jocey will you give me the honor of calling you, my wife?” Totally shocked, I said, “Yes! This was a total surprise. I am so gitty and can’t wait to marry the man of my dreams. Come July 26, 2018.
