How We Met
Josh and I first met in high school and became best friends. He was a year older than me and when he graduated he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. We wrote letters the whole time he was gone, and once he finished basic training he returned home to me and we began dating. We were across the country from each other the rest of my senior year, but he made sure to surprise me at graduation. Thankfully, he was permanently stationed in our home state and our love grew while I was a student at UNC Chapel Hill.

I just recently graduated from UNC and now work for the university. For about two weeks we were supposed to have a date night, but it kept changing. Eventually, I was told we were eating with my parents in Chapel Hill the night before the football game the next day. He came to get me from work and instead of seeing a car outside he was on foot. He told me he had planned for us to go on a walk through campus, but since it was raining we could do part of it before dinner. While walking, he suggested we go to the football field to see the field game-day ready. On the way to the stadium he wanted to cut through the Bell Tower.
We walked on the pathway and went under the Bell Tower and he got down on one knee right then in there at an iconic location in my favorite place in the whole world. It was absolutely perfect!! From making sure my nails were done to having a secret photographer. We are over the moon. Xoxo.
