How We Met
Jeff and I met 6 years ago while both working as nurses in an acute psychiatric unit. We were friends for 2 years before he realized I had a huge crush on him. Working together in a very intense work environment drew us close right from day one. We’ve been together now for 4 years and have a beautiful daughter Peyton. The above pictures were taken every October since we started dating. We’ve since lost our saint bernard but our love of dogs and the outdoors has always been a big part of our relationship.
How They Asked
On Sunday, December 16th, 2018 we set out for a routine family walk to one our favorite spots, The Bubbling Springs trail in the Stanhope National Park in PEI. We have been coming out here with our dogs since the beginning of our relationship. On this particular beautiful December day, Jeff asked me to take a picture of him and our 12-month-old daughter Peyton. Right, when I was about to take the picture he said ‘ok Peyton, say mom will you marry my dad?!’ He tried to get the dog to help out but our Bernese mountain dog Donar was too distracted by the bubbling springs to participate. This is the picture I managed to take before I realized what has just happened!
