How We Met
I was a freshman at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and it was my first college party! My cousin was already a student there so he invited me to come, hang out with all their friends and get to know some people. Little did I know that I would be meeting my future husband. He was the first person I met at the party and we followed up a couple of days later with some dinner plans. Two weeks later we made it official and two years later we got engaged!
How They Asked
We go to Mexico Beach every year at the end of summer. We were at the beach near sunset with our fishing gear and our nets. He thought he saw something in the water and went out with his net. Little did I know he would return with what he caught and it would be an engagement ring! I was so surprised and excited. I said yes! Of course! A group of college students was sitting nearby and gave us a good cheering.
