How We Met
We both went to the same high school and he was a year older than me, but never crossed paths. We eventually met through a mutual friend when he was out of high school and I was starting my senior year. We immediately clicked and talked every day for hours until November 7th, 2011 when he asked me to be his girlfriend. We’ve been together ever since! (8 years and counting).
How They Asked
We live in Pennsylvania and following high school, I moved to Baltimore, Maryland for college for a total of 6 years + 1 year of working. Most of our relationship was long distance. People continued to ask how we make it work. We always say that we have and will always support each other in our dreams. And if you love someone you learn to make it work, and did we love each other. I finally moved back to Pennsylvania and that was the question we continued to hear was where is the ring. I knew it would eventually happen, but I didn’t know when. We wanted to get a house first and I thought that would take priority.
Little did I know he had a different plan. Every year my family has a Christmas party where Santa comes to visit. Well little did I know when I sat on Santa’s lap that I would look up to see Travis on one knee asking me to spend the rest of my life with him in front of my family. It was perfect.
