How We Met
During my first year of university I was meeting a friend at Central station to catch the train home with her. She had text me during the day to say one of her high school friends was going to join us, so when I arrived at the station I saw her standing with Kevin. She introduced us and we made awkward small talk the whole way home. I don’t necessarily believe in love at first sight, however on the train ride home I kept glancing and Kevin and thinking to myself “I feel like I am going to fall for this guy”. I departed the train feeling both excited and confused, I had hardly even spoke to Kevin yet I could feel there was definitely something there. So, as every modern love story starts, I added him on Facebook
how they asked
Kevin took me to dinner at Altitude at the Shangri-La Hotel that night, which has the most romantic views of Sydney. After dinner he had planned for us to go and see the Vivid Light Festival in The Rocks. He showed me a print out of the show map and showed me a “new location” which had been added into that year’s festival. I had no idea that Kevin and my proposal co. actually created a fake map, with an extra location where Kevin had planned to propose to me!
When we got there I noticed a beautiful rotunda on top of a hill and once we got closer the whole rotunda lit up in pink and purple lights with a huge light up MARRY ME sign and fairy lights. It was the most magical proposal! I said yes!
