How We Met
We actually met on match.com! After talking for a little bit, we decided to go on our first date. He picked me up, he had his daughter with him. I talked about the weather in car because I was soo nervous. We went to Tilt at the Eastwood Mall, where his daughter grabbed my hand and dragged me on the tilt-a-whirl a million times. We spent hours walking around the mall talking and We shared our first kiss on a bench, and finished the evening with a dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
How They Asked
I knew it was coming. I had been giving him a hard time because we’ve been together for years and he hadn’t asked yet. We had a weekend planned in Sandusky, including a day planned at Kelley’s Island. We had just had dinner at West Bay on the island, and he decided to take me on a walk to the boat docks to be close to the water.
He held me. He said, “You know what I am about to do, you know I want to marry you.” I instantly started crying. He got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes!
